The Nikon D810 is due to announce on the 26th June, so depending on where you are, you should hear about the announcement very soon.  Photos of the Nikon D810 have already been circulating around the net. From the photos, it looks like the only physical change is the metering mode selection which is now incorporated with the main top dial on the right (where it used to be the BKT button). Nikon is only offering one model with no AA filter unlike previously with two variants D800 and D800E. The base ISO range is also set to change to ISO 64-12800, this can only mean the dynamic range has been improved again even though the D800 is already known for its superior dynamic range. The D810 will feature the same AF system as the Nikon D4s with group area AF mode. Frame rate has also been improved to 5fps which is still a bit lacking for sports shooting despite the faster EXPEED 4 is being used. There will be no 4K video but 1080p 50/60p is now available.

The Nikon D810 is available to pre-order at B&H.
