Canon has announced its latest APS-C DSLR – Canon EOS 7D Mark II.  The original Canon 7D is a 5 years old DSLR that its technology was once cutting edge but now has been superseded. Five years is a long wait for an update in the world of DSLRs. Technology advances and there is no doubt the new 7D Mark II will be better, faster and stronger. Built for speed with a high speed continuous shooting up to 10fps, the 7D Mark II equips with a 20MP APS-C sensor, dual DIGIC 6 processor, 65 points cross type AF and HD 1080@60p with dual Pixel CMOS AF and on-sensor phase detection makes it a superb DSLR for still and video. Its buffer is capable of taking 31 RAWs to ensure there is no slow down when shooting fast actions. It also uses the same 150k pixel RGB metering sensor from the flagship 1D-X with the Intelligent Tracking and Recognition technology to ensure the subject is focus tracked. The ISO range has gained a stop over the 7D, so expect the ISO performance will be about a stop better. The new built it GPS is a nice touch for travel and landscape photographers.

With the announcement of the 7D Mark II, perhaps there are some hopes with a Nikon D400? Leave us a comment below .
