Adobe After Effects – Energy Blast

I spent some time playing with Adobe Effects today, hoping to create some animations for a video clip I took using the LX3 in 720p 16:9. What I had in mind is to animate an energy ball matching the motion of my hand.

The trajectory of the energy ball as it shots out the windows.
