The Port Hills are one of the best-loved landscapes of Christchurch. There are a total of 39 reserves on the Port Hills. With such a beautiful summer weather, we are off to one of the more notable reserves – Sign of the Kiwi (Coronation Hill). Coronation Hill Reserve overlooks the Cashmere Valley and Lyttelton Harbour. Many of the excellent walking tracks that crisscross the Hills begin and joined here. One of which we wanted to conquer is the Crater Rim Walkway.

We stopped by at the sign of Takahe before we headed off to the Sign of the Kiwi.
