I am excited to be part of Diana & George amazing Assyrian Wedding which took place at St George and Te Papa in Wellington. When it comes to Assyrian weddings, I am always exciting to see the traditional dresses Jolet Khomala and dances Khigga/Khloola. They are so special in every Assyrian wedding and this is no exception on Diana & George’s big day. Friends and relatives gather in their traditional dresses and dancing from the morning to celebrate this special day. After the traditional ceremony (Burakha) took place, we headed out to the Parliament for the bridal party photos. The timing of our arrival was perfect, the sun was about to set and the parliament building started to light up creating a stunning backdrop for us. In the evening , at the Te Papa reception of more than 400 guests, the celebration continues with traditional dances Khigga/Khloola until the early morning.
