In addition to the Nikon 24-120mm f\/4 VR and Nikon 24-70mm f\/2.8, this lens provides a less expensive option for the upcoming entry level full frame camera Nikon D600. It weights at 465g which is much lighter and smaller&#160; than the 24-70mm f\/2.8 (900g) and 24-120mm f\/4 VR (710g).
