Canon finally steps into the mirrorless camera market. Today, Canon introduces its rival of the EOS M mirrorless system. If you are expecting a retro or rangefinder look from the Canon EF-M, then you are out of luck, you will need to lay your eyes on either Fujifilm or Olympus. The EOS M looks pretty much like any point and shoot which can be good or bad.<\/p>\n

The EOS M utilizes Canon\u2019s Hybrid CMOS AF system to deliver fast autofocus speed for both video and photos. It is equipped with an 18-megapixel APS-C-sized CMOS image sensor, developed alongside with the new EOS 650D digital SLR camera and shares many components, including the on-chip phase detection AF and the DiG!C 5 image processor. The Hybrid CMOS AF system truly shines when shooting video with EOS Full HD Movie mode including Movie Servo AF for continuous autofocus and tracking of moving subjects. <\/p>\n

The removal of the mirrorbox assembly and viewfinder allows the camera to be around 50% lighter and significantly smaller while enabling the same high level of image quality. Quality extends to renowned EOS performance features including outstanding low-light shooting with an ISO range of 100\u201312800 expandable to 25600 (H) and 4.3 frame-per-second high-speed burst shooting (One Shot AF).<\/p>\n
